My philosophy in therapy is to meet my patients where they’re at and then, more importantly, to help them explore and map out where they’d like to go. I use a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR), and a healthy dose of humor, wit, and compassion. In my work with teens and tweens, I also incorporate parent management training and close consultation with the family.
